What is MentorMate?
MentorMate is an Australian marketplace for verified career mentors and AI practice tools. Mentees book paid 1:1 sessions; mentors set their rate and availability and get paid via Stripe Connect.
Who can become a Founding Mentor?
Experienced Australian professionals who already mentor informally — engineering, product, marketing, finance, HR, and founders. Founding Mentors receive $0 platform fees for life while they stay active under our usage KPI.
How do mentor payouts work?
After a mentee pays for a session, MentorMate transfers the mentor’s share via Stripe Connect Express. Mentors must finish Connect onboarding before payouts can be sent.
Do I need mentors listed to use MentorMate?
Subscriptions (Pro / Career+) and AI Practice tools work independently. Booking 1:1 sessions requires real mentors on Explore — we do not advertise an empty marketplace.
Is MentorMate only for Australia?
Yes — MentorMate is built for Australian professionals (AUD pricing, local career context, AU-focused mentoring).
How do I join as a mentee?
Join early access at mentormate.com.au/early-access, or create an account and browse Explore once mentors in your category are live. Pricing for tools is on /pricing.
